Reshape a photo

Reshaping is not a separate effect in Glooowe; it is the negative direction of the body axes. Narrow the waist and torso, leave the hips alone, or do the opposite. The range is ±70 with the midpoint being your original photo. With background lock on, wall and floor lines stay straight, which is where a reshape usually gives itself away.

How much still looks believable

In practice values between 10 and 25 go unnoticed. Above 40, clothing folds and the gap around the arm start to disagree with each other. The limit depends on the photo: a tight top forgives nothing, a loose one takes much more.

  • Waist and torso are independent axes
  • The slider snaps to zero, so returning to the original is easy
  • Press and hold to compare with the original

Reshaping without wrecking the background

What gives a reshape away is rarely the body. It is the straight lines behind it: a door frame, a tile joint, a railing. Background lock pins those areas and keeps the warp near the person. It is not perfect, and at extreme values it can still show.

Height is a separate axis

Often confused with slimming but different: the height axis scales the frame vertically, while the leg axis lengthens only the legs. The height axis is Pro-only.

Step by step

1

It is on by default; keep it.

Hold to compare, then save.

Frequently asked questions

How do I slim a waist in a photo?

In the Body tab, pull the Waist axis in the negative direction. Around 15 goes unnoticed in most photos; check the live preview before raising it.

Does reshaping distort the background?

With background lock on, wall and floor lines are largely preserved. At extreme values warping can still show, so work in small steps.

What happens with more than one person?

The app detects the faces and asks which person you want to edit. Everyone you did not pick stays exactly as shot.
